At a Glance Design quality and value for money are both high at Logo Inn. However, we highly recommend reading through their entire Terms of Service before ordering. The guarantee that they offer looks good initially, but looks less attractive in the Terms of Service Agreement. It also states that they are not responsible for the misuse of information submitted to them. While we're sure that they are not spammers, clauses like this make us uneasy.
Quality in logo design is difficult to score as it is fairly subjective. In our opinion, Logo Inn produces good quality logos.
Logo Inn has a range of logo design packages, starting at only $45 for the Basic Package and going up to $825 for the Platinum Package. The Basic Package comes with 1 design and 1 revision. We were unsure of how the satisfaction guarantee fits into this package. The satisfaction guarantee claims, "we will keep on working on your design until you are satisfied". A live support operator explained that the satisfaction guarantee does not apply to the Basic Package. The more expensive packages come with more initial concept designs and add-ons such as stationery design, brochure design, web design, hosting etc. Overall their prices are below the industry average.
Turnaround time ranges from 2 to 5 business days, depending on the package you select.
They offer a money-back guarantee and a satisfaction guarantee, but we found it deceptive. The money-back guarantee is not unconditional. In order to get your money back you have to "have a valid reason which must be qualified against the design brief and customer feedback for revisions". In other words, if they feel that they delivered what you asked for, then you do not qualify for a refund. An additional concern is the unclear Terms of Service Agreement. It seems that refunds are subject to an "administration fee" of either $45 or $200. We are not sure which. In either case, having an "administration fee" that is equal to or higher than the total cost of the package seems unreasonable.
Logo Inn supplies the final logo files in AI, PSD, GIF, JPG, TIFF and PNG format. Additional file formats are available on request and, as far as we can tell, for free.
LogoInn offers live support, a toll-free number, email address and a web site form. No physical address is provided. Live support was online and reasonably responsive when we tested it during US business hours.
Comments Their prices are low and the quality of the logos in the portfolio is fairly high, so we'd do business with them. The web site contains some errors and information that we felt were deceptive. We recommend reading through the Terms of Service Agreement before placing your order. Final Score: 18 (out of 30) |
